Exploring the Julian Alps

I’ve left Rich, Dave and Jonny battling the snow in the western Alps this week and headed east to explore the Julian Alps in Slovenia.  This is a lovely unspoilt region, with plenty of big (ie 1000m) rock walls around and adventurous walking and Via Ferrata routes.  The scenery in the Triglav National Park is similarly varied and beautiful, but much quieter and less developed than the western alps.
