Alpine North Faces

Just back from a great day on the N Face of the Tour Ronde, which is in perfect condition at the moment – ie neve all the way.  The couloir below col freshfield is well filled with snow just now and being used as a means of ascent and descent early in the day, though we opted to follow the SE ridge all the way down.
Currently there is an exceptional amount of snow and ice covering all the major alpine north faces out here, due to a very snowy late spring – so conditions are looking good, so long as temperatures remain fairly low.  More conds info to follow.
